An Honorary member of the Guisborough Photo Group, Guisborough, North Yorkshire, of which over the years I have held most of the committee’s posts. I’m also a member of the Tees Digital Photo Group.
Guisborough
is a small market town on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, on the Capt:
Cook Heritage Trail. It's regarded as the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors
& Heartbeat country. It also has a 12th century Priory ruin.
I’m
presently the Chairman of the North
Yorkshire and South Durham Photographic Association, I’m also a judge on
the NYSD circuit.
Most
of my work is monochrome with a bit of slide work mixed in, not quite converted
to digital yet, but find repairing old print a dodel with the computer. I still
do my own B&W but now use the computer more and more for colour, it still
takes as long but you can stop and go back to it later, with out the chemicals
going off, plus there is no messing about or smell.
Most
of my early photos were taken on Olympus gear, but the bulk of pictures on this
web are of Canon gear, and CanoScan FS2710I, using slides.
I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries of photographs as much as I enjoyed taken them. Feel free to contact me, and if you have time, add your comment to the guest book.
